Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Love is patient, love is kind, it isn’t jealous, it doesn’t brag, it isn’t arrogant, 5 it isn’t rude, it doesn’t seek its own advantage, it isn’t irritable, it doesn’t keep a record of complaints, 6 it isn’t happy with injustice, but it is happy with the truth. 7 Love puts up with all things, trusts in all things, hopes for all things, endures all things.
Good Morning; God loves us every one!
Our God is an awesome God
who reigns from heaven above.
With wisdom, power, and love,
our God is an awesome God.
Only by the grace of God . . . Everything we are, everything we are yet to be is by the grace of God. Left to our own devices, we would be a sorry lot. None of this passage is true without God from whom all love flows. Love begins with God, Love is God. I believe that without God’s love, we embody the antithesis of this passage. We aren’t patient, We do brag, and we are arrogant . . .
In 1 John 4:6-8, we read, Love, Comes from God!
6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception. 7 Beloved, let us love one another because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.…
Gracious God, Thank You for being with us. You bless us. Your love is the beginning of all we are and will be. Thank you! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
Thought for the day: Because God loves me, I will love others as God loves me.
