Liz’s Morning Devotional: Scripture selected from Upper Room

  December 9, 2024

Lamentations 3:22-25

22 Certainly the faithful love of the LORD hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! 23 They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness. 24 I think: The LORD is my portion! Therefore, I’ll wait for him. 25 The LORD is good to those who hope in him, to the person who seeks him.

Good Morning! Great is thy faithfulness!

Oh, the Lord’s been good to me, and so I thank the Lord. Each new day is a gift from God. I can’t imagine living without hope for tomorrow.

For those who do not believe, life must be grim. You live your life to the best of your ability, and then your life ends at your death. You are on your own to endure the problems that you encounter.

Without the grace of God, we would be stuck in the midst of our mistakes with no viable way out. I know that no matter how lost I become, God will look and find me when I call. When I feel alone, God sends reminders that he is walking by my side.

Our worst days with God by our side are better than being alone.

 What a fellowship, what a joy divine,

leaning on the everlasting arms;

what a blessedness, what a peace is mine,

leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning on Jesus, Leaning on Jesus,

Safe and secure from all alarms

Leaning, Leaning

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Loving Lord, We are your children! Thank you for your amazing grace. You are with us even when we have doubts. Thank you! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

Thought for the day: With Christ, we are never alone!

It’s okay to lean on Jesus! Pastor Liz
