Liz’s Morning Devotional: Scripture selected from Upper Room

  March 2, 2025

Deuteronomy 33:26-29

26 Jeshurun! No one compares to God! He rides through heaven to help you, rides majestically through the clouds. 27 The most ancient God is a place of safety; the eternal arms are a support. He drove out the enemy before you. He commanded: “Destroy them!” 28 So Israel now lives in safety Jacob’s residence is secure in a land full of grain and wine, where the heavens drip dew. 29 Happy are you, Israel! Who is like you? You are a people saved by the LORD! He’s the shield that helps you, your majestic sword! Your enemies will come crawling on their knees to you, but you will stomp on their backs!

Good Morning. Shine like the sun on this Lord’s day!

We are a people who are saved by the Lord! When offered life and blessings or death and curses, we chose life and blessings. We gave up our sinful ways and began our faith journey.

Along our journey, we face struggles and challenges that make us vulnerable to doubt and fear. Because we are weak, we stray from our path and give in to sinful acts. By God’s grace, those who call upon the Lord are reclaimed and returned to their path of righteousness. Without God’s grace, we would remain lost.

Blessed be our Lord, who makes all things new before us. Jesus calls us to lean on the everlasting arms.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear

Leaning on the everlasting arms?

I have blessed peace with my Lord so near

Leaning on the everlasting arms

Loving Lord, Maker of all things! You love us! Thank you for supporting us through our trials and temptations. We love you, Lord! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

Thought for the day: Grace is where our weakness meets God’s strength.

Embrace God’s sufficient grace! Pastor Liz
