Liz’s Morning Devotional: Scripture selected from Upper Room

March 6, 2026

Isaiah 41:8-10

8 But you, Israel my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, offspring of Abraham, whom I love, 9 you whom I took from the ends of the earth and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant; I chose you and didn’t reject you”: 10 Don’t fear, because I am with you; don’t be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will surely help you; I will hold you with my righteous, strong hand.

Good Morning, do not fear, God is with us!

When I opened today’s passage, I felt immediate joy. Isaiah 41:10 is one of my go-to verses of scripture when I have moments of insecurity and doubt in myself. For me, it is helpful to have verses that evoke strong feelings to guide my daily walk.

I have Scripture keywords in a variety of places as reminders of God’s love and grace. I post them in my home and carry them with me on my bracelets and rings, my phone case, and in my car.

These are physical and visual reminders of my understanding that God is always with me. Sometimes, I need that little glimpse to resettle me in times of challenge. I invite you to seek out glimmers of God that will bring you peace throughout your daily journey.

God of Wisdom, you bless us abundantly! Help us remember that you are with us every moment of every day. We love you. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

Thought for the day: Our faith grows when we put our trust and hope in God.

Fear not, do not be afraid, God is with us! Pastor Liz
