Psalm 105:1-7

¹ Give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make his deeds known to all people! ² Sing to God; sing praises to the Lord; dwell on all his wondrous works! ³ Give praise to God’s holy name! Let the hearts rejoice of all those seeking the LORD! ⁴ Pursue the LORD and his strength; seek his face always! ⁵ Remember the wondrous works he has done, all his marvelous works, and the justice he declared ⁶ you who are the offspring of Abraham, his servant, and the children of Jacob, his chosen ones. ⁷ The LORD—he is our God. His justice is everywhere throughout the whole world.  

Good Morning! Praise the Lord!

Praising God:

Who: All God’s children.

What: Rejoice in God.

Why: Because God loves us,

When: All day long.

Where: Everywhere we go.

How: In Thought, Word, and Deed

With each new day, we are presented with endless possibilities. Jesus calls us to love God with all that we have, love our neighbors as ourselves, and to go out and make disciples for the transformation of the world. 

Because God knows that we can’t do any of this on our own, God equips us with the Holy Spirit to work within and among us to provide the fuel for our calling. To accept Christ isn’t checking a box on a piece of paper or sitting in a church pew on Sunday mornings. To be a Christian requires action. Loving, sharing, and forgiving are a good place to start. 

When we accept Christ, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit, so that we may love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously. 

With confidence, we can sing, This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior, all the day long! 

God of Love, you bless us abundantly! Sometimes we forget that you call each of us to use the gifts that you gave us to joyfully serve you. Thank you. We love you. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
