Liz’s Morning Devotional: Scripture selected from Upper Room

October 28, 2025

Psalm 119:18-20

18 Open my eyes so I can examine the wonders of your Instruction! 19 I’m an immigrant in the land. Don’t hide your commandments from me! 20 I’m worn out by longing every minute for your rules!

Good Morning! Jesus calls the weary to come!

I have noticed the more things that I have going on, the less I can see clearly. It’s as if we put blinders on so we can focus on what we consider most important, and we totally neglect what God presents to us.

Some of our days are filled with one challenge after another. God continually places reminders to stop and remember so that we can endure the challenges with a new sense of purpose.

When you feel the wheels coming off, stop and look for God’s signs. It takes a moment, but oh, the blessings that will fill your heart.

Loving Lord, you bless us abundantly! We get so busy that we forget to spend time with you. Thank you for dropping hints to help us find our way back. Thank you. We love you, Lord! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

Thought for the day: Open our eyes when our worries blind us.

God’s wondrous love surrounds us. Pastor Liz
