Liz’s Morning Devotional: Scripture selected from Upper Room
December 25, 2025
Luke 2:8-14
8 Nearby, shepherds were living in the fields, guarding their sheep at night. 9 The Lord’s angel stood before them, the Lord’s glory shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 The angel said, “Don’t be afraid! Look! I bring good news to you—wonderful, joyous news for all people. 11 Your savior is born today in David’s city. He is Christ the Lord. 12 This is a sign for you: you will find a newborn baby wrapped snugly and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly, a great assembly of the heavenly forces was with the angel praising God. They said, 14 “Glory to God in heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors.”
Good Morning! Merry Christmas
Behold! I bring you tidings of great joy! Christ is come! On this joyous day, I pray that each of you celebrate and take the opportunity to thank God for all your blessings.
Once the gifts are unwrapped and the feasts are consumed, look into the lights on your tree, enter a divine space, and gaze into the glory that is God. As you clean up the wrapping paper and put away the dishes, hold onto Jesus. Place him in your heart.
On this day, Christ came to save all people. To God be the glory! Hallelujah! Amen!
Redeeming Lord, you bless us abundantly! Help us to relive the excitement and joy that accompanied the birth of your son. Thank you. We love you. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
Thought for the day: Today, and every day, we can experience the joy of finding Jesus anew.
Good News! Jesus Christ was born to save! Pastor Liz
